Shift Manager
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinates with the Store Manager regarding overall department operations
- Responsible for training quality candidates; clerks and cashiers
- Verify fast food quality standards are achieved for hot and cold products on a consistent basis
- Conducts daily tours and delegates tasks as appropriate; follow-up to ensure tasks are completed
- Manages staff and schedules to maintain store stocking levels, appropriate product rotation, and plan and organize merchandise in a neat and attractive way to promote sales
- Processes payments, purchases, returns, and exchanges according to store policy
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Deliver excellent customer service
- Interact with customers in a friendly & open manner
- Maintain the physical appearance of the store, cleaning countertops; sweeping and dusting; cleaning up spills, disposing of trash, ensuring parking lot, entries and restrooms are clean and appealing
- Keeps merchandise/products current, stocked, faced, dusted/cleaned and properly priced at all times
- Perform other tasks as assigned by store manager or owner time-to-time
- Check out customer purchases swiftly and accurately
- Maintain accurate documentation throughout the work shift
- Maintains a neat, clean, personal appearance at all times
- Knows and follows company policy and procedures
- Does not disclose any confidential or proprietary information regarding the Company, coworkers or former employees to any outside person or agency; refers all requests for information to the Manager or Owner Works any assigned shift or overtime as requested by the Store Manager
- Accomplishes any other duties necessary for the operation and maintenance of the store in an efficient, profitable and safe manner, as directed by the Store Manager or Owner
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Must maintain a fair and consistent set of standards that applies to all employees
- Ability to operate available equipment, such as: computers, cash registers, calculators, scanners, fryers, beverage machines, and all other food prep related equipment
- Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division, in order to make change, give refunds accurately and to balance tills daily
- Ability to read and interpret documents such a s safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Communicate professionally via phone, email, and in-person with customers, staff, and vendors
- Become knowledgeable about companyโs products and services, to make proper recommendations of products and services sold
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with management, employees, office staff, vendors, and customers in a friendly, open, and approachable manner
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking
- Bending, twisting, stooping, and kneeling required frequently to rearrange merchandise and verify stock levels.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs frequently
- May need to work nights, weekends, and holidays on a rotating basis
- Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time

Cashier/Clerk
